This collection reflects Jonathan Charles’ appreciation for quiet artistry and the beauty of making. Six prints of hand-painted watercolours capture blossoms through delicate layers of pigment, water and gesture, resulting in images that feel both timeless and contemporary in their restraint. Printed on Awagami Bizan handmade Japanese paper from the Fujimori family mill in Tokushima, the works gain softness and depth through a papermaking tradition rooted in centuries of craft. Minimalist mirror frames with linen backboards introduce light and reflection, balanced by tactile warmth. Together, the series celebrates simplicity, material intelligence and the enduring poetry of process.
